The pile jetty is a traditional jetty model and has worked for centuries on many different beaches. The pile jetty is suitable for beaches where the water depth is less than 2.5 meters. For water deeper than this, we recommend Pitkospuu's piers with pontoons. The pile jetty works in areas where the ice does not pack heavily on the shore in the spring. If the ice compaction is small, you can easily fix the small tilts of the poles in the spring by tamping the poles back firmly upright with a sledgehammer.

The pile pier is stable thanks to its structure. It does not sway in the waves like pontoon piers and is a stable swimming pier. The poles of Pitkospuu pile piers can be left higher on both or one side, which makes it easy to build a handrail or rope railing on them. It is also easy to attach, for example, the rope of a rowing boat to the pole, or put, for example, a swimming ring to wait for the next swim. The pile pier is often also the first choice for a cottage pier due to its beautiful appearance.

One of the good features of the pole jetty is that it can be made very long and still stable according to the needs of the beach. Here you can read more about long pile pier models.
