Big pier can mean either a large pier or a long pier. Both of these can be found in the Pitkospuu pier collection. The pier can also be custom made based on the customer's plans.
A big pier is the perfect solution when you want to spend time on the beach by the water in other ways than just going to swim, boat or fetch water. Large pier is a good to place for a dining set, outdoor furniture set and, for example, sunbeds for sunbathing. All this is good on top of a sufficiently large solid plank pier. It is also nice to have a barbecue place on the sunny pier terrace.
If the big pier or jetty is mostly only for swimming, it is enough if it is of a suitable length for the beach. When planning the length of the pier, it is good to take into account the variation in the height of the water level. It would be good if the jetty is long enough so that even in autumn you can swim from its end and it is not fully on dry land when the water line recedes and the water level drops.
Above is an example of a large pier - Pitkospuu's 'Inari' 24 meter model. The terrace-like aspect of the large pier can also be added with Pitkospuu's double end. In this case, the 'terrace area' can be further away from the shore, where the scenery over the lake is often nicer than from the shore.
